So; Filmdependence has launched it's first Official Screenplay Competition!!!
The concept for this competition is based on a simple premise: Big ideas don’t always need big budgets. It’s all about efficient story telling. With that in mind; I’d love to see what ‘Big Ideas’ you can tell efficiently.
For this first year; we're looking at my favourite holiday; Halloween, and we'd like your scripts to reflect that; but if Horror isn't your bag; fret not my friends! We accept all genres; Horror, comedy, dramas, sci-fi, whatever. Just fill your screenplay with all the things you love about the halloween; and you could win the chance to come onto the show and talk about your story; your writing process; whatever you want. Be heard by a global network of industry professionals.

Just remember that here, efficient story telling will always win-out over gratuitous 'shoot-out' sequences. Use resources wisely!!
